Julia Cottrill, Stillwater

Position: Catcher

Karli Petty, Southmoore

The story: The SaberCats fell shy of the state tournament, but Petty was dynamic. An Oklahoma State signee, she batted .557 with 10 homers, eight doubles, three triples and 56 runs scored. She finished her huge fastpitch career with seven school records.

Emily Hott, Deer Creek

Position: Infield

Natalie Jones, Edmond Santa Fe

Position: Infield

Class: Senior

The story: An underrated player who has signed with Southern Nazarene, Jones batted a school-record .515 with three homers and 12 doubles. The Wolves' lead-off hitter, she also scored 34 runs and was named the District 6A-2 MVP for a second straight year.

Kailey Gamble, Westmoore

Position: Infield

Class: Junior

The story: A powerful hitter who is committed to North Texas, she drove in 54 runs and smacked 18 doubles while leading the Jaguars to the Class 6A state championship. In that title game, she delivered two two-run doubles. A first baseman, she also boasted a .987 fielding percentage.

Zadie LaValley, Carl Albert

The story: It doesn't get more clutch than hitting a walk-off grand slam in the state semifinals like LaValley delivered in October. A Tulsa commitment, she blasted 13 homers and 13 doubles while batting .571. She also drove in 51 runs and scored 52 times as the Titans won a second straight Class 5A state title

Coach of the Year

Jenny Rollins, Westmoore

The story: Westmoore had never won a state championship in fastpitch, something that bothered Rollins throughout her decade running the program. But the Jaguars rallied to win each of the state tournament games — including two on the final day — to end the year on an 11-game winning streak.
