Cats claim Regional Title, defeating Guymon 12-2.

  • Piedmont CATS Varsity Claims Blow Out Win Over Guymon Thanks To First Inning Boost
  • Piedmont scored seven runs in the first on its way to a 12-2 victory over Guymon on Thursday. Piedmont's big bats were led by Chloe BohuslavickyMolly McDermottEllie Griffin, and Kenedi Morelock, all driving in runs in the frame.  With the win, the Cats qualified for the 2018 State Tournament.
  • Piedmont fired up the offense in the first inning. An error scored one run for the Cats.
  • Bohuslavicky earned the victory on the rubber for the Cats. She allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two.  Tori McNabb threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
  • Meagan Bellar took the loss for Guymon. She went four innings, allowing 12 runs on 13 hits and striking out three.
  • Piedmont launched one home run on the day. Jade Rowland had a long ball in the third inning.
  • Piedmont racked up 13 hits on the day.  BohuslavickyMorelockRowlandMcDermott, and Rikki Hadley each had multiple hits for Piedmont CATS VarsityBohuslavicky led Piedmont with three hits in three at bats.  Piedmont tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Morelock led the way with three.
